2012 Program 2012 Industry Awards
Dear Fellow Ink makers, Valued Suppliers and Honored Guests:

The warm, sunny Palm Springs area awaits your arrival for the 96th annual NAPIM meeting. Our program committee has been hard at work to bring an agenda of some unique events that will be both informative and fun.

For Sunday morning breakfast we will have branding expert, Sasha Strauss, to give us insight into our personal brands. This will be followed by a session on company (B2B) branding. Do you know what your company’s brand is? If some of your best customers were awakened in the middle of the night and asked what your company stood for, what would they say? Would you be surprised, pleased or displeased with their responses? Sasha Strauss can help us to be assured that the customer’s perceptions of us match what we wish it to be.

How would you like to work in a business world where there was NO COMPETITION? Well, our Monday presentation may just help us to get there. Zunaira Munir, managing director of Blue Ocean Strategy, will lead us through the six principles espoused in the best selling book of the same name. We will learn a systematic approach to making the competition irrelevant by examining a wide range of strategic moves across a number of industries. I think we would all agree that our companies and our industry must adjust to this ever faster changing world.

On Tuesday morning we will hear a report on The State of the Industry followed by updates on the state of the printing and publishing market as well as that of the packaging sector. There will be ample time for group discussion and, perhaps, some commentary on how we might apply some of the branding and Blue Ocean Strategy information we have received.

The agenda is posted here. Included in the agenda will be many activities for the spouses/companions as well as group social events. Also, this will be an ideal meeting to bring some of your core management team so we might better implement some of the ideas and concepts to which we will be exposed and as a way of recognizing some of your top performers for a job well done in 2011.

I look forward to seeing you and your colleagues in March.

Sincerely,

George Sickinger

President
