Mineral Oils in Food Products - June 2011

In 2010 studies conducted in Europe found low levels of mineral oils in dry food packaged in paperboard. The origin of the mineral oil contaminant was believed to be from residual mineral oil concentrations in recycled paperboard used in the manufacture of the food package.
